Sensors

Argon ST designs, develops, and produces state-of-the-art signals intelligence (SIGINT) sensors that seek, exploit, identify, and locate sources of RF energy, underwater sound, light, heat, and other complex phenomena.

  • The mission: immediate threat recognition and location.
  • The challenge: an infinitely complex environment for intelligence gathering, including signal-dense urban settings and an explosion of highly dynamic commercial technologies.
  • The solution: a company with deep domain expertise that masters the environment and continuously adapts to the complexities of exploiting it.

Argon ST delivers battle-proven expertise and adaptive technologies to help customers sense the environment for threats and increase situational awareness.

Land, Sea, and Sky

For more than two decades, Argon ST has been providing sensors across the electromagnetic spectrum for signals exploitation, electronic-warfare applications, imaging information processing, and communications.

Our sensors perform on land, at sea, and in the sky—this includes surface ships, submarines, aircraft, airborne-remote, and land-based platforms. They also span the entire signals intelligence and sensor arena, including:

Communications Intelligence (COMINT)

In today’s extremely volatile threat environments, customers count on Argon ST’s COMINT sensors to meet requirements and provide capabilities for operational success against the enemy of the week, the threat of the day, and mission of the hour.

Our signals-intelligence solutions deliver expert capability in detection, classification/recognition, direction finding, and exploitation of RF signals—despite the most demanding challenges.

Electronic Signals Intelligence (ELINT)

Argon ST delivers sophisticated ELINT capabilities for a diversity of users. Our ELINT capabilities detect, identify, geo-locate, and exploit enemies’ electronic (non-communications) signals, such as transmissions from radar, missiles, and threat platforms. Our sophisticated ELINT sensors stand up to the challenge, both on the ground and in the air.

Our land-based C5ISR sensors are at work on both fixed and mobile sites, including tactical military vehicles and warfighter-portable applications. Argon ST also provides reconnaissance systems for manned and unmanned airborne platform operations and electronic support measures that warn our forces of imminent threat.

Torpedo Defense

No one knows how to exploit signals at sea better than Argon ST. In fact, we are the nation’s chief provider of C5ISR sensors for the U.S. Navy. We also provide reconnaissance technologies to various U.S. Navy subsurface customers, including manned and unmanned underwater vehicles carrying special payloads.

Argon ST’s Towed Acoustic Torpedo Defense solution provides torpedo countermeasure sets to the U.S. Navy. Additionally, we are the sole provider of the Surface Ship Torpedo Defense system used by the U.S. Navy’s surface ship fleet and by many foreign navies.

Imagery Intelligence

Imagery remains one of the essential technologies for threat recognition and force protection. Argon ST is there with field-proven airborne, shipboard, ground, and vehicle-mounted infrared and visible-spectrum imagery technologies.

Our high-performance imagery solutions include multi-spectral and hyper-spectral, remote sensor, and digital day/night camera systems, as well as complete surveillance for applications such as border protection, base security, and subsurface and source pollution problems. We are also doing pivotal work in the realm of Laser Direction and Ranging (LADARs) for three-dimensional imagery applications.

Fusing the Future

The enemies of our country never rest and their use of technology is relentless.  At Argon ST, our efforts to provide our customers with the winning edge must exceed the efforts of those who want to destroy us.  Our proven expertise across a vast array of sensor technologies allows us to lead the way with integrated multi-INT sensors and advanced sensor fusion algorithms that will enhance warfighters’ abilities to make sense of threatening situations.
