Daphne Sellers
Office Manager

Daphne Sellers joined Argon ST in 2001 as the Office Manager for the Fair Lakes office.

Why did you join Argon ST?
I came to Argon ST for not just one opportunity but several opportunities for which I could utilize my professional skills.

What have you enjoyed about Argon ST thus far?
I enjoy the extra curricular activities that Argon ST hosts throughout the year. With my role as office manager, I'm able to take part in planning the different activities such as the kids holiday party and the deck the door contest (where employees decorate their office doors for the holidays).

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is being involved as much as possible. I enjoy the fact that I contribute to the success of the company.

How has Argon ST helped you reach your professional goals and expand your professional knowledge?
Argon ST continues to help me reach my professional goals and expand my professional knowledge by offering seminars and training to help me get a broader view of my field as Office Manager.

Would you change anything?
Part of my job is to control costs on catering. Argon provides lunch and dinner to our employees and customers quite often for study groups, meetings, demos, etc. which is a great benefit. However, we have spending guidelines and setup procedures which everyone is supposed to follow. I get frustrated sometimes because people don’t always follow the catering policies and procedures. If I could change anything – everyone in the company would follow the catering procedures.

Wes Leong
Systems Engineer

Wes joined Argon ST in June 2005. Wes is a systems engineer in our Advanced Technology group. He holds a MSEE from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Why did you join Argon ST?
I had been at my last job for several years, and there was not much room for growth, nor much flexibility in the work I was doing. I knew of several Argon ST employee's at that time that held Argon ST in high regard, and when offered a position which afforded me the opportunity to work in a different role on innovative and interesting projects it was easy to accept.

What have you enjoyed about Argon ST thus far?
I really enjoy working with the people here. They are very bright and motivated, and I've already learned much in my technical area. It also feels much more of a collaborative team effort here than compared with my prior experience. The people here make it a friendly and positive environment to work in.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect is that I am now doing the type of work that I find interesting, and that I originally envisioned myself doing when I graduated. I now get to apply many of the topics I learned in school. The work is challenging, which to me makes it very satisfying.

How has Argon ST helped you reach your professional goals and expand your professional knowledge?
I still consider myself a relatively recent graduate, and I'm also a recent hire, so right now I'm just looking to gain a broad range of experiences to help me define my professional goals. The managers I've worked with have been great with giving me various options on the type of work I would like to do, and I definitely feel that opportunities for professional growth are available to me.

Would you change anything?
Ha, that's a really open-ended question. I personally would like for companies nationwide to adopt a minimum 4-5 weeks of vacation, I think we as Americans tend to forget the value of time off. And maybe a soft-serve ice cream machine.

Why did you join Argon ST?
I joined Argon ST as a legacy employee from SenSyTech’s merger with Argon ST. I relocated from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to be a part of the start up team for the PA manufacturing facility. Would you change anything?
For new employees, a class on some of the tools would have been advantageous, but I found that there were always people willing to help out and answer questions when need be
