Ann Arbor, Michigan

Argon ST’s Michigan office is located in Ann Arbor. Steeped in history and rich with diversity, Ann Arbor always has something happening. According to the city’s authorities:

In 1823, a group of pioneers passed through a fur-trading post known as Detroit and pushed on along the banks of the Huron River in search of a location for a new frontier community. The settlement they founded became Ann Arbor.

Today, “Quality of Life” is a critical factor in helping Ann Arbor achieve its consistent inclusion in “Top Cities” lists. By any standard, Ann Arbor is uncommonly blessed with the elements that make for a full and enriching life, whether it’s looking at arts and cultural events, recreational activities, educational resources, or opportunities to explore the traditions and lifestyles of people of diverse nationalities and cultures.

Public schools that rank among the top ten in the nation, outstanding area libraries, the unparalleled resources of the University of Michigan and other institutions of higher learning in the area, such as Eastern Michigan University, all add luster to the richness of Ann Arbor.

Located in Washtenaw County, Ann Arbor is a mere 45 minutes from Detroit and offers much to enjoy, including major sporting events, concerts, attractions, recreation, and shopping.

Fairfax and Newington, Virginia

Argon ST has two locations in the vibrant Northern Virginia area: our corporate headquarters in Fairfax and our office only 20 miles away in Newington. Situated in the backyard of the nation’s capital, Fairfax County has a history that extends from the early 1600s, when it was a quiet rural area, to today with its powerhouse economy. Both locations offer easy access into DC via I-95 and Rt-66 for sporting events, tourist attractions, and the nightlife.  Living in Fairfax puts neighboring beaches, ski resorts, and New York City only a few hours away. According to the region’s authorities:

Fairfax County, the heart of the Washington metro area’s technology community, has been called “one of the great economic success stories of our times.” The area’s dynamic companies, well-educated and highly skilled residents, excellent school system and cultural amenities make Fairfax County one of the most desirable places to live and work in the United States.

Fairfax offers a prime location convenient to the nation’s capital and its cultural riches. This affluent D.C. suburban area not only provides diversity in its economy, its workforce and its communities, but also boasts one of the highest household incomes in the nation and the lowest unemployment rate of any U.S. metropolitan region.

Add to the mix top-notch public schools, a competitive tax structure, and a highly educated workforce (59% of residents over age 25 have obtained bachelors degrees or higher), and you have all the elements in place to illustrate that Fairfax is a region on the move.

Whether you enjoy history, world-class sporting events and attractions, performing arts, shopping, or nightlife, Fairfax County is in the center of it all.

Orlando, Florida

Argon ST’s Winter Park, Florida, office is located just minutes from the Orlando area. Nicknamed “The City Beautiful,” warm, sunny Orlando is situated in Central Florida. Best known for its many tourist attractions—particularly Walt Disney World—Orlando is also a diverse economic hub, with industries ranging from technology to telecom. The region boasts a young and vibrant workforce and a strong, industry-focused education system. According to city authorities:

Those who venture into Orlando beyond our world-famous tourist attractions quickly realize that this is a uniquely “livable” community. Distinctive brick streets and tree-lined neighborhoods; year-round outdoor recreation; proximity to beaches, lakes, springs, parks and trails; world-class entertainment options; and closets free of winter coats, scarves and gloves all contribute to an environment that most never want to leave once they’ve called it their home.

The region’s cost of living is significantly lower than that of many other major metropolitan markets. And for those who prefer to get away from the city pace, residential acreage remains abundant, offering quiet space with proximity to the urban center.

For those who call the Orlando region home, there are many amenities that create an enviable quality of life, from world-famous theme parks to sporting events, concerts, and shopping.

Smithfield and Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania

Argon ST’s Pennsylvania facilities are located just a few miles apart in Smithfield and Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania. The surpassing beauty of Fayette County’s geography and its wealth of natural resources provide both economic opportunities and a bucolic community in which to live.

Situated near the whitewater rapids of the Monongahela River and the pristine forests of the Laurel Highlands, Fayette County also has many nearby points of historical significance dating back to before the Revolutionary War. According to city authorities:

A certain sense of pride of a hard day’s work for an honest day’s pay still lives on in the mind set of the Fayette County workforce, even to today. It is in fact that kind of mind set that has allowed Fayette County to look to the future and embrace new and exciting economic concepts which are directly related to its continued economic growth.

Housing is diverse, ranging from Victorian-era beauties to modernist experiments, and from planned and gated communities to cabins nestled streamside in the woods. And all of it is surprisingly affordable. The cost of living in Fayette County averages about 70-80% of the standard across the nation.

Ventura and Mountain View, California

Argon ST’s Active Systems division and Radix Technologies offices are located in Ventura (Ventura County) and Mountain View (Santa Clara County), California, respectively. Local visitor bureaus describe the best that these counties have to offer residents and visitors:

Ventura County is located northwest of Los Angeles County and is bordered by the Pacific Ocean. The county offers magnificent beaches, national forests, marinas, and parks.

The County of Santa Clara, also referred to as Silicon Valley, is unique because of its combination of physical attractiveness and economic diversity. With its numerous natural amenities and one of the highest standards of living in the country, the county has long been considered one of the best areas in the United States in which to live and work.

Today, the county is a major employment center for the region, providing more than a quarter of all jobs in the Bay Area. It has one of the highest median family incomes in the country and a wide diversity of cultures, backgrounds, and talents.

The Los Angeles and northern California regions represent some of the most desirable areas of the country in which to live and work. In addition to breathtaking natural scenery and abundant outdoor activities, the regions offer a wealth of events, educational resources, sports, entertainment, history, and attractions.
